Welcome to Manu Rainforest Tours, where you will immerse yourself in the heart of the Amazon rainforest. Under the guidance of the Manu Expedition, you will explore the captivating landscapes of Manu.
Day 1: Cusco to Manu Rainforest Lodge - Morning pick-up from your Cusco hotel and scenic drive through the Andean grasslands to the Amazon. - Breakfast in Paucartambo, exploration of local culture. - Visit the Tres Cruces viewpoint to contemplate views of the Amazon basin. - Descent to the Manu Cloud Forest to observe the diverse fauna. - Lunch followed by a boat trip to Lake Machuwasi and the Manu Rainforest Lodge. - Amazonian dinner at the lodge with an optional night walk. Day 2: Manu Rainforest Lodge to Río Negro - Start with an Amazonian breakfast before leaving. - Boat ride along the Madre de Dios River, with the opportunity to spot animals. - Camp next to the Río Negro and take a hike through the deep jungle. - At night, bonfire and indigenous dinner on the banks of the river. Day 3: From Río Negro to Treehouse Inn - Typical breakfast, boat ride to the Manu River and then to the Palotoa River. - Arrival at the exclusive Treehouse Inn, with a guided tour of the area. - Learn about native medicinal plants. - Afternoon walk to observe the jungle fauna. - Dinner at the lodge and night walk to observe wildlife. Day 4: Parrot Clay Lick and Jungle Adventures - Visit the Parrot Clay Lick early to observe parrots. - Walk through the jungle to observe medicinal plants and, potentially, large mammals. - Lunch in the afternoon at the lodge, with the optional possibility of descending the river. - Sunset and dinner, followed by another night excursion. Day 5: Treehouse Inn to Manu Rainforest Lodge - Breakfast, visit a local native community to learn about their culture. - Lunch at the Treehouse Inn before returning to the Manu Rainforest Lodge. - Dinner and exploration of the surrounding rainforest. Day 6: Return to Cusco - Breakfast at the hostel, boat ride to the port of Atalaya. - Return to Cusco with lunch in Paucartambo. - Arrival in Cusco at 6:00 p.m. to rest and reflect.
