From Ancash: Hiking the essence of Huayhuash 6D/5N

enjoy a few days of incredible trekking and get to know unique landscapes in this tour.
DAY 01: Huaraz - Cuartelhuain - Cacanan Pass
trekking starts in the Cordillera de Huayhuash. We will pick you up from your hotel and head south of HuaraZ. We will pass through traditional Andean villages with typical Quechua houses and rich agricultural land. We start the hike in Cuartelhuain and arrive at the Cacananpunta pass. We descend to the Jalca plain until we reach our campsite.
DAY 02: Mitucocha - Carhuac pass
We flank the Jalca alluvial plain and ascend to the Carhuac pass. From here we descend to our camp at the large Carhuacocha lagoon. From our camp we look directly towards the lagoon and the famous peaks such as Siula Grande, Yerupajá Grande and Chico and Jirishanka Chico.
DAY 03: Carhuacocha - Siula Pass
We start ascending to the Siula pass at 4800m. On the way to the high pass, we stop at a viewpoint from where we get impressive views of the famous 3 Huayhuash lakes with an overwhelming panorama of the summit. Then we descend passing near the Carnicero lagoon and then our camp in Huayhuash at 4300 meters.
DAY 04: Huayhuash - Trapecio pass - Cuyocpampa campsite
Starting the morning with breakfast, we begin our hike to the highest point called Trapecio pass at 5040 m. From here, looking southeast, we see a new collection of snow-capped peaks nearby. This viewpoint is considered the fourth most beautiful viewpoint in Huayhuash.
We then begin our descent from the pass along an unmarked rock moraine route, passing by a turquoise glacier lake of Huanacpatay. We continue the descent to our campsite in Cuyoc.
DAY 05: Cuyoc pampa - San San Antonio pass - Cutatambo - Huayllapa village
We will ascend to a pass on San Antonio Hill. This is a demanding day with some steep trails. After 2 hours we are at the top of the pass at 4800m. The descent is initially steep, but safe, on scree for about 100m. We then follow a cattle trail that meanders down to Jurau Lake and then walk a long trail through the Calinca gorge to the village of Huayllapa. Finally in the village of Huayllapa.
DAY 06: Huayllapa - Cajatambo - Barranca
We will start taking the transport that will take us to the coast of Peru, before passing through the town of Cajatambo where we will make a brief stop for breakfast. The trip is long and the road descends in endless curves until we reach the great Panamerican Highway and arrive in the city of Barranca. The transportation will drop you off at the bus terminal so you can travel to Lima that same day.
