Balabac is a remote island destination. Access to individual islands, beaches, sandbars, reefs, and snorkeling areas may be affected by weather, tides, sea conditions, local restrictions, safety considerations, and operational circumstances.

The individual islands, beaches, reefs, sandbars, and snorkeling locations mentioned in the itinerary are optional/non-core stops. They are examples of places that may be visited during the expedition and are not guaranteed.

The core experience is the 3-day, 2-night private Balabac expedition, including private round-trip transportation from Puerto Princesa, private boat island hopping, meals, basic island-camp accommodation, local guide assistance, island-hopping and snorkeling activities, and applicable local or island fees.

For safety and operational reasons, the local guide or boat captain may change the sequence of the itinerary or replace an optional/non-core stop with another suitable island, beach, reef, sandbar, or snorkeling location.

If an optional/non-core stop cannot be visited, the team will make reasonable efforts to provide a suitable alternative. Changes, substitutions, or omissions of optional/non-core stops do not constitute cancellation of the core expedition.

If the core expedition cannot operate or is cancelled by the activity provider, guests will receive a guaranteed full refund in accordance with GetYourGuide’s cancellation policy.

The scheduled pickup or departure time may be adjusted by less than 30 minutes when necessary for operational reasons.

If the activity provider changes the scheduled departure time by 30 minutes or more before the activity begins, or reschedules the expedition to another date, guests may cancel and receive a guaranteed full refund.

Once the expedition has started, travel times, activity times, and return times may vary due to weather, sea conditions, tides, road conditions, port operations, or other circumstances beyond the activity provider’s control.

The expedition will only operate when conditions are considered safe by the local guide, boat captain, and relevant local authorities.

Balabac is a remote island expedition and not a luxury resort stay. Accommodation is basic island-camp style, and electricity, mobile signal, internet access, and other facilities or services may be limited or unavailable at times.

Guests must follow the safety instructions of the guide and boat crew throughout the expedition.
