Your experience begins in the heart of Donosti (San Sebastián), where we’ll meet at an easy-to-find central location. From there, we’ll set off on foot to explore two of the city’s most vibrant neighborhoods — a blend of historic charm and everyday local life.

Led by me, Erich — a chef with 10 years of experience in Michelin-starred kitchens, a food podcaster, and a gastronomic researcher at the Basque Culinary Center — this tour is designed to give you a true taste of the city’s culinary soul.

Over the course of the evening, we’ll visit five carefully selected bars, each one a culinary gem known for its quality, character, and connection to Basque food culture. At every stop, you’ll enjoy one or two signature pintxos, each paired with a local wine, cider, or spirit that complements the flavors perfectly. It’s a full dinner in stages — walking, tasting, sipping, and learning as we go.

But this isn’t just about great food — it’s about context. At each stop, I’ll share the stories behind the dishes, the ingredients, and the people who make them. You’ll learn about the origins of pintxos, the evolution of Basque cuisine, and the unique ways food and history intertwine in this part of the world.
