Beschreibung
Learning history is fun! We'll stroll through film locations, step into Antonio Machado's classrooms, and unravel the secrets of the Spanish Renaissance. A unique sightseeing tour tailored for schoolchildren.
- Meet your guide who specializes in children at Plaza de los Leones and get ready for an exciting walking tour of Baeza, specially designed for the little ones. This fun and educational adventure combines stories and entertaining activities that bring the city's history to life in a way that children will love.
- Our tour begins in the medieval heart of the city. Here, the past suddenly comes to life. Surrounded by the Old Butcher Shops and the imposing Civil Court and Notary Offices, we'll stop at the historic Jaén Gate and the Arch of Villalar, witnesses to battles and legends. And, of course, we'll unveil the secrets hidden in the famous Fountain of the Lions. Your guide will turn history into a game of discovery and encourage the children to imagine what life was like in the Middle Ages.
- We'll leave the square behind to wander through picturesque cobblestone streets until we reach a magical place. Without barely moving, the view is saturated with beauty: the monumental Fountain of Santa María, the Seminary of San Felipe Neri, the Upper Town Hall, and the crowning jewel, the Cathedral of the Nativity of Our Lady. Children will love the legends associated with this magnificent square and learning how it became the most important place in the city's history.
- From here, the tour takes on a cinematic feel. We'll walk through the very streets that brought the adventures of Captain Alatriste to life. After passing through the Puerta del Perdón, we'll follow the stone labyrinth to the stately Palacio de Rubín de Ceballos, feeling like we're in another era.
- Baeza is poetry. We'll head to the Santa Cruz Church and, right opposite, we'll marvel at the stunning façade of Jabalquinto's Palace.
Walking at the same pace that inspired Antonio Machado, we'll enter the Old University. There, we'll visit the stunning Auditorium and peek into the Antonio Machado Classroom, frozen in time, where the poet taught his French classes. Kids will be able to see what the classrooms were like and how they differ from today's classrooms.
Crossing the Arco del Barbudo, we'll head down to the lively arcades of the Paseo de la Constitución, the bustling historical center of modern-day Baeza. We'll admire the Lower Town Hall and soak up the local atmosphere.
Throughout the experience, your private guide who specializes in children will adapt the pace and content to the age and interests of the group, making sure that they learn and have a great time.
- This guided visit is designed exclusively for schools, adapting the language and content to the age of the group (elementary, middle, or high school).
On this tour, students will learn about history, art, and culture in an engaging, thorough, and highly entertaining way.
