Your adventure begins in Puerto Villamil, where you will start your transfer to the higher part of the island. During the tour, you will be able to observe the contrasts of the volcanic landscape that characterizes Isabela, the largest island in the archipelago.
Upon arriving at the starting point, you will begin a guided hike to the Sulfur Mines, an area where active fumaroles release volcanic gases that have created an extraordinary natural environment. It is recommended to wear trekking shoes or comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, a sun hat, and to bring plenty of water. During the tour, due to the geothermal activity in the area, you may occasionally notice a smell of sulfur.
The hike takes place on volcanic terrain, so a moderate level of fitness is recommended to fully enjoy the experience.
The meeting point is at the main entrance of the Gran Hostal Tintorera, in Puerto Villamil. The tour bus will leave from this location. Please arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled time to start the activity on time. Our staff or guide will be waiting to greet you.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
