Day 1: Addis Ababa – Semera – Erta Ale

Take a morning flight from Addis Ababa to Semera. Upon arrival, meet your guide and begin the drive through the spectacular landscapes of the Afar Depression. Pass local villages, volcanic fields, and desert scenery before reaching the base of Erta Ale. In the late afternoon, start the trek to the summit of the volcano. Enjoy breathtaking views of the active lava lake and spend the night camping near the crater.

Day 2: Erta Ale – Hamed Ela

Wake up early to witness the sunrise over Erta Ale Volcano. After descending from the summit, continue by vehicle to Hamed Ela, a small settlement in the heart of the Danakil Depression. Day 3: Dallol and Salt Flats Exploration

Continue to the vast salt flats where local miners extract salt using traditional methods. Watch camel caravans carrying salt blocks across the desert before returning to Hamed Ela for overnight.

Day 4: Hamed Ela – Semera – Addis Ababa

After breakfast, drive back to Semera through the remarkable landscapes of the Afar Region. Upon arrival, transfer to the airport for your flight back to Addis Ababa, bringing your unforgettable Danakil and Erta Ale adventure to an end.
