Description

Experience a transformative 9-day journey through key Buddhist sites. Visit Bodhgaya, Rajgir, Nalanda, Vaishali, Kesariya, Sarnath and more, tracing Buddha’s enlightenment and teachings.
Day 1 : Arrival Bodhgaya.
Arrive at Gaya airport and transfer to Bodhgaya, where Prince Siddhartha attained enlightenment under the Bodhi Tree, becoming Buddha. Explore monasteries and temples. Overnight stay.

Day 2 : Bodhgaya Sight Seen.
Visit the Mahabodhi Temple, originally built by Ashoka and later restored. See the Bodhi Tree, where Buddha meditated. Explore monasteries from various Buddhist countries. Overnight stay.

Day 3 : Bodhgaya – Rajgir – Nalanda – Patna (180 Km, 5 Hours).
Drive to Rajgir, an ancient Magadha capital where Buddha preached. Visit Griddhakuta Hill and Shanti Stupa. Continue to Nalanda, home to the ancient Nalanda University. Proceed to Patna. Overnight stay.

Day 4 : Patna – Vaishali – Keshariya – Kushinagar (265 Km, 7 Hours).
Visit Vaishali, where Buddha gave his last sermon. Stop at Kesariya Stupa, then proceed to Kushinagar, where Buddha attained Nirvana. Overnight stay.

Day 5 : Kushinagar – Lumbini (145 Km, 4 ½ Hours).
Visit Nirvana Temple, housing Buddha’s reclining statue, and Ramabhar Stupa, his cremation site. Continue to Lumbini, Buddha’s birthplace. Overnight stay.

Day 6 : Lumbini – Sravasti (190 Km, 5 Hours).
Visit Maya Devi Temple, Ashoka Pillar, and sacred gardens. Depart for Sravasti, where Buddha performed miracles and preached extensively. Overnight stay.

Day 7 : Sravasti – Varanasi (310 Km, 9 Hours).
Visit Saheth, known for Buddhist stupas. Continue to Varanasi, the world’s oldest living city and a key pilgrimage site. Overnight stay.

Day 8 : Varanasi – Sarnath – Varanasi (30 Km, 1 ½ Hours).
Early morning boat ride on the Ganges. Visit Sarnath, where Buddha gave his first sermon. See Dhamekh Stupa, then return to Varanasi for the Ganga Aarti. Overnight stay.

Day 9 : Departure.
Morning transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
