Description

Discover the masterpieces of the Uffizi Gallery on a guided tour. Enjoy priority entrance and explore the Vasari Corridor, a one-way passage connecting the Uffizi to the Boboli Gardens.
Meet your guide in front of the Uffizi Gallery. Enjoy a brief introduction to the Medici family, the history of the Uffizi building, and how it became one of the world’s most important art museums. Skip the ticket line, pass security, and head upstairs to the main galleries.

Follow a focused route that covers the essential masterpieces while keeping the pace comfortable for a small group. See the three “Madonnas” by Duccio, Cimabue, and Giotto that show how painting evolved from flat gold backgrounds to three-dimensional space and human emotion.

Admire Botticelli’s “The Birth of Venus” and “Primavera” (Spring) and learn about Medici culture, mythology, and why these paintings became icons of Florence and the Renaissance. See Leonardo da Vinci’s “Annunciation”, “Adoration of the Magi”, and Verrocchio’s “Baptism of Christ” and highlight Leonardo’s experiments with light, movement, and perspective.

See Michelangelo’s “Doni Tondo”, the only panel painting by Michelangelo in Florence. Admire key works by Raphael, such as “Madonna of the Goldfinch”, and learn about the rise of High Renaissance harmony. See Titian’s “Venus of Urbino” and discuss beauty, private versus public art, and how this painting later inspired Manet.

Admire Caravaggio’s “Medusa”, “Bacchus”, and “Sacrifice of Isaac” and learn about Caravaggio’s dramatic life and his revolutionary use of light and shadow. Throughout the tour, your guide will point out the famous corridor of windows overlooking the Arno and Ponte Vecchio, explaining how this connects to the Vasari Corridor above.

At the end of the 2-hour guided visit, the guide accompanies the whole group near the Corridor entrance point inside the Uffizi. Here you can choose to remain inside the Uffizi and continue exploring independently or visit the café, bookshop, terraces, etc.

Alternatively, you can choose to extend your experience with an unguided visit to the newly reopened Vasari Corridor, a one-way elevated passage that connects the Uffizi to the Boboli Gardens and Pitti Palace.

Walk along the Corridor from the Uffizi to Boboli Gardens. Exit at Boboli Gardens/Pitti Palace area, escorted to the exit courtyard as per current rules.
