The session begins with an introduction to the history of taiko — once used in rituals, festivals, and even on battlefields — followed by a live demonstration by our experienced instructor. You’ll be taught the correct stance, how to hold the sticks (bachi), and how to strike the drum with full-body energy and focus.

Even if you’ve never touched a drum before, don’t worry. Our workshop is designed for beginners and travelers of all ages. Through step-by-step guidance and fun rhythm exercises, you’ll quickly find yourself immersed in the beat. By the end, you’ll perform a simple piece together with the group — an energetic and satisfying finale!
