Enjoy a maiko's performance and experience Kyoto's culture through the daily life of a maiko!
On this small-group cultural tour of Gion, you will get a sense of the lifestyle of Maiko (an apprentice Geisha of Kyoto) and Geisha (we call them Geiko in Kyoto) by meeting them in person, and learn the rich history of renown Geiko district (Kagai) in Kyoto. To start with, we will take you through the picturesque streets of Gion and you will learn about the cultural background of Gion with our local guide. In the second half of the tour, we will take you to a special private house in Gion and you will be welcomed by Maiko and Geiko with light refreshment to enjoy their amazing live performance.

As this is a walking tour, we recommend you wear comfortable walking shoes.
You MUST wear socks at the venue of the performance.
No photography and video recording are allowed at the venue apart from the photo session at the end of the performance.
Not suitable for the people with disability to go up and down stairs and wheelchair users.
No under school age child
Refundable for cancellations due to organisers' reasons; no refunds for incidental hotel or bullet train costs.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.

Cancellation is not possible. If you cancel it anyway or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity and the money you paid will not be refunded.
