Experience a nighttime event at the UNESCO World Heritage Site Nijo-jo Castle, featuring three immersive experiences: an immersive theater performance, a special nighttime viewing of the National Treasure Ninomaru Palace, and large-scale projection mapping.
For the first time, Nijo-jo Castle will host the immersive theater production “Shiro Geki: Onmyoji Mizuki’s Time-Space Chronicle – Save the Kan’ei Imperial Visit!”, created by Japan Academy Prize winner Junichi Yasuda. The performance combines a massive LED display—5 meters tall and 29 meters wide—with live actors performing in the same physical space, creating an immersive experience with a level of depth and intensity that projection alone cannot achieve.
High‑brightness, ultra‑high‑definition imagery stretching across your entire field of vision, immersive audio that envelops the entire venue, and the vivid presence of actors performing right before your eyes—all of these elements synchronize sight and sound at a high level. – Advance reservations are required for Immersive Theater “Shiro Geki”; seating is unreserved.
– Disability discount tickets are available for eligible holders and one caregiver with valid certification.
– Preschool children enter free, but a child ticket is required if a seat is needed.
– Admission is not permitted with benefit passes or annual passports.
– Performances proceed in light rain; umbrellas are not allowed. Please bring rainwear.
– Severe weather may cause cancellations; refunds are generally provided.
– Cancellation notices will be posted on official SNS at 4:30 PM, or announced at the venue in sudden weather changes.
– For the 6:45 PM show, entry may be crowded; please arrive early.
– Monopods and tripods are prohibited.

– Grounds are gravel; wear comfortable shoes. Pets are not allowed.

Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
