『Why We Created This Walking Tour』
As professional rickshaw artisans, we love guiding guests through Kyoto, but some of Gion’s most enchanting, hidden Geisha backstreets are simply too narrow for a rickshaw to enter. At the same time, we noticed that many international travelers didn't just want to take in the views passively—they wanted to stretch their legs, stay active, and truly feel part of the environment.
That’s why we launched this walking tour with NINJAYA. By exploring on foot alongside our vibrant local talents—like our famous Uji-Macho guides—you get exclusive access to quiet, secluded alleys where traditional Geiko and Maiko culture quietly thrives. When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
