From Yerevan: Lake Sevan Beginner Scuba Diving Trip

Leave Yerevan and travel toward Lake Sevan for a day that shows you Armenia from two completely different perspectives: first from the mountains above the lake and then from beneath its surface.

Begin with a stop at Sevanavank. Walk up to the historic monastery and enjoy the wide view across the lake and surrounding mountains. Continue along the shore to the professional dive center, where your instructor introduces the equipment, explains underwater communication, and guides you through the essential safety steps.

Put on your diving equipment and enter the lake gradually with your instructor beside you. The experience is designed for beginners, so there is no pressure to reach a particular depth. Your instructor adjusts the session to your confidence, the weather, and the lake conditions. The beginner program normally includes an underwater session of approximately 15 minutes and may reach a maximum depth of 12 meters.

After the dive, change into dry clothes and enjoy time beside the lake. Have lunch at the lakeside restaurant, walk along the shore, or simply sit with a drink before returning to Yerevan.

This is not a tropical coral-reef dive. It is something rarer: a first scuba experience inside a vast mountain lake in the Armenian Highlands.
