Begin your adventure with a convenient pickup from Dong Zhi Men subway station. Relax on the drive to the Jinshanling Great Wall, which takes about 2 hours.
Enter the Great Wall from the east gate and start your hike. Walk along the wall to the west, enjoying the stunning views and the sunset. The hike is about 6-7 kilometers and takes 3-4 hours.
Each tower is marked with its name in English, making it easy to navigate. After the sunset, get down from the Great Wall from the middle gate, and return to the city (back in the city at around 20:00-22:00 depending on different seasons).
