Discover the Tunnel of Hope in Sarajevo on a war veteran-guided tour. Visit the two important sightseeing points, walk through the original tunnel, and enjoy a coffee break.
Begin your tour with a drive to a panoramic viewpoint, where you will gain a wider perspective of Sarajevo and understand the historical circumstances that led to the idea and construction of the Tunnel of Hope. From this viewpoint, discuss and observe the first phase of the tunnel's development.
Continue to the D-side of the code-named “Object D-B”, where you visit two important locations: the Phase Two entry/exit point, the Phase Three entry/exit point. These locations provide a deeper understanding of the development, purpose, and historical significance of the tunnel.
Enjoy a short coffee break, with one coffee included per person. After the break, proceed to the B-side of “Object D-B”, where you will walk through approximately 80 meters of the original war-time Tunnel of Hope and see and feel what the Tunnel is.
Visit the Museum of the Tunnel of Hope, watch a documentary video about the tunnel, and explore the available historical exhibitions. Throughout the tour, your guide will provide historical context and explanations in English or Turkish, depending on your preference.
