Discover Theth in the Albanian Alps! Cross Thora Pass, visit the iconic Theth Church, then hike through wild mountain nature to the crystal-clear Blue Eye.
Begin your adventure with an early departure from Tirana, Durrës, Golem/ Shkoder, traveling north toward the spectacular Albanian Alps. Enjoy changing landscapes of mountains, deep valleys, forests, and traditional highland villages.
Reach Qafa e Thorës (Thora Pass), approximately 1,630 meters (5,350 ft) above sea level. Stop at this breathtaking viewpoint for panoramic views over Theth Valley and the surrounding mountain peaks.
Continue to Theth, a remote alpine village known for its traditional stone houses, untouched nature, mountain streams, and centuries-old culture. Visit the iconic Church of Theth, surrounded by impressive peaks.
Continue to Nderlysaj, a small mountain village and the starting area for your hike to the famous Blue Eye of Theth. Follow a scenic trail through forests, rocky paths, streams, and wild mountain landscapes. The hike takes approximately 45–60 minutes each way, with some steep and uneven sections.
Arrive at the spectacular Blue Eye, a natural pool famous for its crystal-clear turquoise water. Enjoy free time to relax, take unforgettable photos, and admire the surrounding nature. Swimming may be possible when conditions allow, but the mountain water is very cold.
After visiting the Blue Eye, hike back to Nderlysaj and begin your scenic journey through the Albanian Alps, returning to Tirana, Durrës, or Golem in the evening.

This is a full-day tour that includes a moderately challenging hike. A reasonable level of fitness is required.
Guests with knee or heart conditions, asthma, mobility limitations, or other health concerns should carefully consider whether the activity is suitable for them.

Wear comfortable hiking or sports shoes with good grip, and bring water, sun protection, and a light jacket.

When using the facilities at local cafés, bars, or restaurants, please purchase something unless your guide advises otherwise.
