Embrace the early morning with before-opening hours access to Melbourne Zoo. Visit koalas Karri and Waru as they wake up for the day. Hop into the back of the house kangaroo exhibit for an intimate behind-the-scenes experience.
Meet a mob of kangaroos and the keepers who care for them. If you’re lucky, see charming Tamar and Swamp wallaby species. Venture into the mysterious underground, nocturnal world of wombats as they get cozy in their burrows.
Finish off your Aussie adventure by flying into the Great Flight Aviary. Keep your eyes and ears open for the melodies of native marine, rainforest, and bushland bird species.
Will you see colorful rainbow lorikeets, spot bower birds hiding their blue treasures, or be laughed at by cheeky kookaburras? Each encounter will be unique, allowing the keepers to let the individual animals shine and give them the choice to control how they participate.
