Set out from Chachapoyas for a guided hiking adventure to Gocta Waterfall, a dramatic twin-drop cascade in northern Peru’s high jungle. Travel by road to the rural community of Cocachimba, where you can select your lunch before beginning the trail.
Follow your guide through lush cloud forest, tropical undergrowth, and the Cocahuayco River canyon. Pause at strategic viewpoints to photograph the waterfall and look out for exotic birds and native orchids in this biodiverse landscape.
Reach the base of Gocta’s second cascade and feel the mist from the falls as you explore the surrounding natural area. After the return hike to Cocachimba, relax over a traditional lunch made with regional products before your return transfer to Chachapoyas.
