Begin your journey by boarding a comfortable bus at the port and enjoy a scenic ride along the Nordfjordeid, passing over a mountain pass with spectacular views. Arrive in the picturesque village of Selje, where you’ll meet the crew at the monastery boat.

As you sail towards Selja Island, admire the beautiful archipelago surrounding the village and get close to nature. On the north side of the island, enjoy a good view of the Stadt Peninsula towards the Western Cape of Norway. Study the steep cliffs that dive into the ocean and the small villages in between them. If you’re lucky, you might even spot sea eagles along the way.

Upon arrival at Selja Island, step back in time as a local guide shares the thrilling story of St. Sunniva and the Selja Monastery. Walk in the same halls as the Benedictine monks did over 700 years ago and climb the shallow stairways to the top of the tower. After returning to the harbor, enjoy some leisure time in the small village of Selje. Stroll through the town center, visit the old parsonage, or relax on the white beach before heading back to the port.
