This is not a checklist of famous tourist dishes. Instead, the tour focuses on local comfort foods loved by young Shanghainese, from sweet-savory snacks and freshly made street bites to Chinese tea, local-style barbecue, and a cooling dessert to end the evening. The experience is designed as a full dinner-style tasting across several neighborhood stops.

The tour includes several food and drink tastings and is designed to be enough for a full dinner-style experience.
This tour is not recommended for vegans, strict vegetarians, halal diets, or guests with severe food allergies, as many local dishes may contain pork, gluten, soy, eggs, dairy, or other allergens.
Please inform us in advance of any dietary restrictions. We will do our best to help, but substitutions cannot be guaranteed.
The tour runs rain or shine. Please bring an umbrella or raincoat if rain is expected.
Tipping is not part of local custom in China, so there is no pressure to tip.
Our guide will be wearing a beige Food Tour custom T-shirt and will be waiting for guests at the plaza outside Exit 6 of Jiangsu Road Metro Station. We will also send the meeting information and invitation in advance.
