Escape Shanghai for a peaceful hiking adventure into Xinchang Countys hidden Han Fei River Ancient Path. Your day starts with a comfortable coach pickup from Xuhui at 7:00 AM, arriving in the village of Shimenkeng around 10:30.
Begin with a warm-up walk to Daotuoxue, an iconic upside-down boot-shaped rock cliff. Continue along the Han Fei River through bamboo groves and dramatic Danxia red-rock landscapes that have earned this region the nickname Jiangnan Little Guilin. Pause at Shimenkeng village for a picnic lunch by the water.
In the afternoon, follow the ancient stone trail past the lion-shaped rock and the legendary Tongtian Fanzheng formation. Cross historic stone bridges, observe traditional village life, and enjoy quiet stretches of forested path before returning to the coach pickup point.
