Discover a different side of Panama City on this guided eco-walk to Ancon Hill, the highest natural point in the capital. Located just minutes from downtown, Ancon Hill is a 40.4-hectare protected nature reserve where rainforest, history, and city views come together.

This urban forest is home to two-toed and three-toed sloths, Geoffroy’s tamarins (monkeys), toucans, motmots, hummingbirds, and a variety of tropical bird species. As you walk along the paved road that winds through the hill, your certified guide will help you identify wildlife while explaining the ecological and historical significance of this iconic landmark.

We use a professional spotting scope to enhance wildlife observation and help you capture detailed photos — transforming a simple walk into a true nature experience.

At the top of the hill (199 meters / 653 ft above sea level), you will visit three different scenic viewpoints, each offering a unique perspective of Panama City:

• Modern skyline and Panama Bay (east side of the city)
• Casco Viejo, Panama Bay, and the Pacific entrance of the Canal
• The Panama Canal, Bridge of the Americas, and the northern side of the city

Rather than one single platform, the experience includes multiple vantage points that together showcase the strategic and geographical importance of this location.

6:30 am – Optimal Wildlife Viewing (Recommended)
Cooler temperatures and early feeding hours typically increase wildlife activity. Ideal for guests who want to maximize animal sightings.

9:00 am – Scenic & Historical Focus Walk
Perfect for guests who prefer a later start while still enjoying rainforest scenery, panoramic viewpoints, and historical context.

Wildlife is present throughout the day; however, activity levels may vary depending on weather and natural behavioral patterns.
