Day Trip to Zvernec, Apollonia & Berat with Burek from Vlora

A full-day trip to Zvernec Island, the ancient ruins of Apollonia Archaeological Park, and the UNESCO city of Berat, together with Osum River valley and Mount Tomorr, all in one memorable day.
Discover three of the most iconic cultural and historical sites of southern Albania in one full and memorable day. This journey combines nature, ancient history, and UNESCO heritage for a beautifully balanced experience.

Your day begins with a visit to Zvernec Island where you will discover the Orthodox monastery of 13th century surrounded by the clam waters of Narta Lagoon and pine forest.

Later on, you drive towards Apollonia Archeological Park where history blends through different periods from the Illyrians, Greeks and the Romans. You will walk through the ruins of these ancient civilizations and visit the Odeon, the Bouleuterion, temples of Greek and Roman Goods and together with the fantastic museum located inside of the 14th century monastery.

Start the transfer towards Berat. Optionally you can stop for a quick lunch break at a small local famous pastry shop and try the Albanian byrek, a must try during your stay in Albania.
Once you reach Berat you will continue with the visit of the Castle offering panoramic views over the valley of Osum river together with Tomorri Mountain the second highest mountain of Albania. After that walk around the narrow-cobbled paths to reach the Emperor Constantin statue who was the creator of the Constantinople and the creator of the Byzantine Empire.
Later on, you get down to the Mangalem quarter where you experience the local life and get a taste of how life was organized during the 17th 18th century. Walk through the bridges and Gorica neighborhood before starting our transfer back to Vlora.
