Visit Khor Virap Monastery independently and photograph Mount Ararat when the weather is clear. Continue to nearby Noah's Garden for a walk and photographs; admission is included. Travel toward Vayots Dzor and stop at ArtCheese in Yelpin for an included tasting of locally produced cheeses.
Continue through the red-rock gorge to Noravank Monastery and explore the medieval complex at your own pace. Stop for lunch at a restaurant, with food and drinks at your own expense.
