Day 1: Death Road Adventure & Overnight VIP Bus to Uyuni
Your adventure begins with pickup from selected hotels in La Paz or from María Auxiliadora Church, the official meeting point. Travel to La Cumbre Pass, where you'll receive your mountain bike, helmet, gloves, jacket, knee and elbow pads before your guide provides a complete safety briefing and adjusts your equipment.
Begin the legendary Death Road descent, one of the world's most famous cycling routes. Ride from the high Andes into the lush Yungas, passing breathtaking mountain scenery, waterfalls, cloud forests, and dramatic cliffs. Throughout the ride you'll be accompanied by professional guides and a safety vehicle, with several stops for photos and equipment checks. Finish the experience in Yolosa, where you'll enjoy a buffet lunch before returning to La Paz.
After returning to the city, you'll be transferred to the VIP bus office. Please bring all your luggage with you, as you won't return to your hotel after the cycling tour. Board your overnight VIP bus to Uyuni and travel comfortably with reclining seats, Starlink Wi-Fi, heating, an onboard restroom, dinner, breakfast, bottled water, hot drinks, a pillow, and a polar blanket.
Day 2: Uyuni Salt Flats & Incahuasi Island
Arrive in Uyuni early in the morning, where our staff will welcome you at the bus office before escorting you to a nearby café. After some free time, return to our office before your 4WD expedition begins at 10:30 a.m.
Visit the historic Train Cemetery, the traditional village of Colchani, the Saltwater Eyes, Playa Blanca, the Salt Hotel Museum, the Flags of the World, and the Dakar Monument. Continue to Incahuasi Island, home to giant cacti and ancient coral formations, before capturing unforgettable perspective photographs. End the day with a spectacular sunset over the Uyuni Salt Flats while enjoying wine and snacks before spending the night in a traditional salt hostel.
Day 3: Colored Lagoons & Red Lagoon
Travel across the Chiguana Desert and admire the Ollagüe Volcano before visiting the beautiful lagoons of Cañapa, Hedionda, and Chiarcota, home to hundreds of flamingos. Continue through the Siloli Desert, stop at the famous Stone Tree, and finish the day at the spectacular Red Lagoon, one of Bolivia's most impressive natural attractions. Overnight in a mountain hostel.
Day 4: Geysers, Hot Springs & San Pedro de Atacama
Depart early to explore the Sol de Mañana Geysers before relaxing in the Polques Hot Springs. Continue through the surreal Dalí Desert and admire the Green and White Lagoons beneath the Licancabur Volcano. After completing the Bolivian section of the expedition, cross the Bolivia–Chile border at Hito Cajón, where transportation will continue to San Pedro de Atacama. Arrival in San Pedro de Atacama is approximately 1:00 p.m. (Chile time), marking the end of your unforgettable Death Road and Uyuni adventure.
