La Paz to Uyuni Salt Flats & Colored Lagoons Adventure
Begin your journey in La Paz and travel overnight to Uyuni before setting out on a 3-day 4x4 adventure across the spectacular Salt Flats and Bolivia’s remote Altiplano.
Day 1 – Overnight Bus from La Paz to Uyuni
Make your way to the La Paz Bus Terminal and depart at approximately 9:00 PM aboard a comfortable overnight sleeper bus to Uyuni. Relax in a spacious seat reclining up to 165°, with heating, a travel blanket, onboard restroom, and seat belt provided during the journey.
Please bring 2.50 BOB in cash per person to pay the mandatory bus terminal fee before departure.
Day 2 – Uyuni Salt Flats & Sunset
Arrive in Uyuni at approximately 6:30 AM, where our staff will meet you upon arrival. We will take you to a nearby café where you can stay warm and relax. Breakfast is not included, but you are welcome to purchase breakfast if you wish.
At approximately 9:00 AM, continue to our office to prepare for the adventure. In accordance with local government regulations, all tours depart at 10:30 AM.
Begin by 4x4 at the Train Cemetery and continue to Colchani before entering the immense Uyuni Salt Flats. Discover Playa Blanca, the Dakar Monument, Flags of the World, and the natural salt eyes.
Continue to Incahuasi Island, famous for its giant cacti and panoramic views. Enjoy perspective photos and finish the day watching the sunset with a light snack and a glass of wine. Dinner and your first overnight stay are included.
Day 3 – Colored Lagoons, Flamingos & Desert Landscapes
After breakfast, travel across the Chiguana Desert and enjoy views of Ollagüe Volcano. Continue to Cañapa, Hedionda, and Chiarcota lagoons, where flamingos can often be spotted.
Cross the Siloli Desert, visit the famous Stone Tree, and reach Laguna Colorada inside the Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve. Enjoy dinner and your second overnight stay in the Altiplano.
Day 4 – Geysers, Hot Springs & San Pedro de Atacama
Start early at Sol de Mañana, surrounded by steaming fumaroles and bubbling mud pools. Continue to Polques Hot Springs, cross the Dalí Desert, and visit the Green and White Lagoons near Licancabur Volcano.
After visiting the Green and White Lagoons, continue toward the Bolivia-Chile border at Hito Cajón. Complete the border formalities with assistance from your guide before continuing by shared transfer to San Pedro de Atacama.
Arrive in San Pedro de Atacama at approximately 1:00 PM Chile time, where your journey comes to an end.
