Sarajevo: Bosnian Cooking Experience with Mountain Views

Discover authentic Bosnian cuisine – not in a restaurant, but the way it has been shared for generations. Just about 30 minutes from Sarajevo, surrounded by nature and with breathtaking views of the Olympic mountains Igman and Bjelašnica, we invite you to become part of our culinary tradition.

Together, we prepare traditional Bosnian dishes using fresh ingredients, patience, and authentic techniques. Depending on the season and your preferences, we may cook:
- Bosnian pot (slow-cooked stew in a traditional kettle – “Kotlić”)
- Goulash over open fire
- Pies (Pita/Burek) baked under the traditional Bosnian BBQ “Sač”
- Meat and vegetables slow-cooked
- Dolme and many many more

Cooking takes place both outdoors and indoors – depending on the dish and the weather.

This is more than just cooking – we also share the small secrets and stories behind the dishes that you won’t find in any cookbook and that make them so special.

The experience takes place in and around our lovingly renovated house, refreshed in 2025 while preserving its original character. Wooden floors, exposed beams, and small imperfections that give the house its soul – this is not a polished luxury villa, but a place with history and warmth.

Much of the cooking happens over open fire, accompanied by good conversation, a relaxed atmosphere, and, of course, with local wine, beer, and a glass of rakija.

At the end, we sit down together and enjoy the meal we’ve created – surrounded by nature, sometimes wrapped in soft mist, sometimes glowing in warm sunlight.

Optional: Stay Overnight
If you prefer not to drive back after a great meal – or after one or two glasses of rakija – you are welcome to stay overnight. We also rent out our lovingly restored house, offering 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and accommodation for up to 6 guests – perfect for couples, families, or small groups.
Spend the night in our cozy house surrounded by nature and wake up to a peaceful morning with coffee and views of the Bjelašnica mountains, often covered in soft, magical mist.

Esta excursión se puede cancelar sin costo alguno hasta :tiempo de cancelación horas antes del inicio del viaje. Si lo cancela después de 24 horas o no se presenta en la excursión, se le cobrará el precio total de la actividad. El retraso en la recogida o en la salida se considerará como no presentarse.
