Experience the beauty and diversity of Maranhão on a full-day tour along the iconic Rio Preguiças, a route that takes you through riverside villages, sand dunes, lagoons, and beaches. The adventure begins around 8:20 AM, with flexible pickup times depending on your location. From there, you’ll head to the dock and board a traditional voadeira speedboat, ready to explore the natural treasures along the river.

The first stop is Vassouras, a small village nestled among dunes and home to temporary lagoons that appear during the rainy season—ideal for a refreshing swim. But what really steals the show here are the capuchin monkeys, who are known for their playful and curious nature. They often come close to interact, providing fun photo opportunities and unforgettable moments.

After some time to relax and explore, we return to the boat and continue to the next stop: the quaint village of Mandacaru. This charming spot is famous for the Preguiças Lighthouse, which offers one of the most stunning panoramic views in the region. Climb to the top and enjoy sweeping sights of the river, dunes, ocean, and the vast horizon. Back on the ground, the village invites you to stroll through local craft shops and refresh yourself with homemade ice cream or a cold caipirinha made with tropical fruits.

The last destination is the serene and picturesque Caburé Beach, a unique peninsula of sand flanked by the Rio Preguiças on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other. The contrast between fresh and salt water makes this a perfect place to swim, relax, or simply enjoy the view. Lunch will be served at a local beachside restaurant (not included), where you can taste authentic Northeastern Brazilian cuisine, especially fresh fish and seafood.

Throughout the journey, your guide/pilot will assist you with safety tips and insights about the places visited. The return trip usually begins around 2:30 PM, with arrival expected by 3:30 PM at the initial embarkation point.
