You'll begin at Estadio da Varzea, the historic ground where generations of Cape Verdean players first learned the game on dusty pitches, long before the national team ever dreamed of a World Cup. From there you'll travel to the National Stadium, renamed in 2026 in honour of the Tubaroes Azuis, Cape Verde's national team, after their historic 3-0 win over Eswatini on 13 October 2025 sealed the country's first-ever FIFA World Cup qualification.
Behind the scenes, you'll walk through the locker rooms and step onto the pitch itself, seeing the stadium from the players' perspective. Your guide will share what this qualification meant for a nation of half a million people, and what it means for the young footballers now dreaming of following in the Tubaroes Azuis' footsteps.
Your visit directly supports the next generation. Proceeds from this tour help fund youth footballers and grassroots teams across Santiago, giving today's kids the same chance the current national team once had, the chance to become the next Tubarao Azul.
