1 - Plateau city center
Start your visit in the Plateau, the city center, and visit some interesting spots like Miradouro dos Cruzeiros, Independence Wall, the city's Central Barracks, and the Presidential Palace. Walk along the Pedonal Street to watch the vendors parading with their products on their heads. You will also visit the city's municipal fruit and vegetable market.
2 - Sukupira Market
Next, we will go to the lower part of the city to visit the Sukupira market, one of the largest markets on the island with African features and lots of color.
3 - Statue of Amilcal Cabral
After that, we will pass by the memorial and statue of Amilcar Cabral, considered the Father of the Nation and the national hero who fought for Cape Verde's independence.
4 - Wall Painting Project in the Neighborhood
We will then check out a street project, with murals in a peripheral neighborhood of the city, where locals come together to convey messages through painting and art on the walls.
5 - Monument of Pope John Paul II
Next, we will pass by the country's National Assembly and the religious monument of Pope John Paul II at ASA before finishing the tour.
