PADI Discover Scuba Diving is your answer—and Valparaíso
is the perfect place to experience it for the first time.

It all starts at Muelle Barón, in the heart of the historic bay of
Valparaíso. Before you go into the water, your PADI instructor
will guide you through a complete briefing: you'll learn how to
use the equipment, the underwater communication signals, and the
basic breathing techniques. No rush, no pressure — at your
pace.

When you're ready, we'll equip you with a wetsuit, BCD,
regulator, mask, and fins. All-inclusive, all adjusted
specifically for you. We practice together on the surface until
you feel completely safe. Only then do we go down.

Under the surface of the bay of Valparaíso, a world awaits you
that most visitors never get to see. Rocky
rocky bottoms covered with South Pacific marine life: conger eels that
peek out from between the stones, octopuses that change color,
sea urchins, mussels, and a variety of fish that even surprises
experienced divers. Your instructor will be by your side
at all times, pointing out each species and guiding you through the
best spots for the dive.

The dive lasts between 30 and 45 minutes at a depth
of 12 meters — enough to feel the full
of diving in a safe and controlled environment.

When you get out of the water, while you're taking off your gear with a view of the
Valparaíso's UNESCO World Heritage hills, your instructor
will give you your DSD PADI certificate of participation and all the
information so that, if you want to take the next step, you can
continue with the Open Water course and get your
international diving license.

No previous experience is needed. Just a desire to discover
what's under the Pacific's surface.
