Discover the Museum of Art Pudong (MAP), a major cultural landmark in Shanghai. Designed by the renowned French architect and Pritzker Prize winner Jean Nouvel, the museum opened to the public in July 2021. Its design is notable for its use of white granite stone and its unique integration of space and light.

Explore the museum's unique architecture, which incorporates the concept of the fourth dimension (time and space) into the architecture, most notably through the "Mirror Hall" (or "Great Glass"), a large glass facade facing the Huangpu River that changes its appearance with the light and serves as a potential stage for artists.

MAP is situated in a prime location in the Lujiazui Financial District, along the Huangpu River. Its west side extends to the riverbank, offering a direct, panoramic view of the historic architecture on the Bund. The east side connects to the Oriental Pearl Tower via a garden plaza. It does not have a permanent collection but collaborates with leading art institutions from around the world to present a rotating program of diverse and world-class exhibitions.
