The adventure starts early. We pick you up at your hotel in a comfortable private vehicle and arrive at the Salto del Tequendama, an imposing natural waterfall over 132 meters high. As it falls, the Bogotá River creates a dense mist, an imposing abyss steeped in Muisca indigenous myths.
The next stop is a traditional hacienda, La Hacienda Coloma. You'll walk among coffee plantations while learning about planting and manual harvesting, and you'll learn to recognize the acidic, sweet, and fruity notes that make Colombian coffee world-famous. The tour usually ends with a glass of the hacienda's exquisite coffee liqueur.
A strategic stop at a local market square. You'll taste completely new flavors, both sour and sweet, from Colombian fruits such as lulo, granadilla, passion fruit, tree tomato, and soursop.
