This sightseeing tour is designed for those who want to enjoy the nature and landscapes of the volcano without trekking to the refuge, making the horseback ride the main activity.
We'll start with pick-up in Quito and then travel towards Cotopaxi National Park. During the journey, your tour guide will share information about the geography, flora, fauna, and importance of this protected area.
Upon arrival at the park, we will head to the starting point of the horseback ride, where you will meet the horses and receive a brief explanation about the route and the safety regulations. You don't have to be an expert rider; the horses are used to this type of route, and the ride is at a leisurely pace, accompanied by local staff.
For about two hours, you'll ride along trails surrounded by vast grasslands, with privileged views of the majestic Cotopaxi Volcano, one of the highest active volcanoes in the world. You'll have plenty of opportunities to take photos and enjoy the pure air of the Andes.
After the horseback ride, we'll visit the beautiful Limpiopungo Lagoon, located within the national park.
