Explore Quito's historic center and modern city on a guided tour. Taste traditional Ecuadorian sweets, enjoy a chocolate tasting, and visit the Artisan Market.
Begin your tour at Plaza Grande, the historic heart of Quito. Explore Independence Square, surrounded by some of the city’s most important landmarks, including the Archbishop’s Palace.
Along the way, taste some of Ecuador’s traditional sweets and discover local flavors through a chocolate tasting, connecting Quito’s history with its rich culinary traditions.
Continue through the Historic Center to admire the impressive Metropolitan Cathedral and the magnificent Church of La Compañía de Jesús, one of Quito’s most remarkable examples of Baroque architecture. The walk then takes you to the iconic San Francisco Square, one of the oldest and most atmospheric corners of the city.
From San Francisco, hop aboard Quito’s Metro, experiencing one of the city’s newest forms of transportation and making the transition from the historic heart of Quito to its modern side.
Arrive at El Ejido and discover a different chapter of the city. Visit the National Museum where you find the transition of the art from colian and modern times. Then stroll through the surrounding streets, where historic Republican houses stand alongside important buildings and landmarks, reflecting Quito’s architectural evolution.
Continue to the Artisan Market, where you can explore Ecuadorian handicrafts, textiles, souvenirs, and traditional products — a perfect opportunity to take a piece of Ecuador home with you.
Finally, conclude your tour at the Arco de la Circasiana, one of the historic gateways to El Ejido and an entrance to Quito’s Metro, leaving you perfectly connected to continue exploring the city on your own.
