Begin in Guimarães, the birthplace of Portugal, where you will discover its medieval historic centre, UNESCO-listed heritage, castle and Palace of the Dukes of Braganza. Continue into Galicia and arrive in Santiago de Compostela, one of Europe's most important pilgrimage destinations. Stay for two nights and enjoy a dedicated day exploring the city's magnificent Cathedral, historic squares, ancient streets and remarkable architectural heritage, with free time to enjoy the city at your own pace.
On the final day, return towards Portugal through Valença, where the impressive hilltop fortress overlooks the Minho River, and Ponte de Lima, Portugal's oldest chartered town. Continue to Porto for private drop-off at your accommodation.
