Day 1 – The Soul of Addis

Begin with a hotel pickup in Addis Ababa. Head to a panoramic viewpoint for an introduction to the city. Walk through a local neighborhood to observe daily life. Take a coffee break at a neighborhood café.

Next, enjoy a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony in a local home. Roast, grind, and brew coffee yourself, and learn the cultural meaning of coffee in Ethiopia. Have a local lunch at a place where Addis residents eat.

After lunch, go on a guided visit to Merkato, Africa’s largest open-air market. Meet trusted local vendors, and enjoy a safe, focused, and well-explained tour. Finish the day with a sunset viewpoint over the city before being dropped off at your hotel.

Day 2 – Food, Stories & Human Connection

Start with a morning pickup. Visit a local artist studio or crafts workshop. Have real conversations with Addis residents, and learn about modern life, challenges, and dreams./Optional evening Addis by Night food tasting & live music


Next, go on an Addis food trail experience. Try injera varieties, spices, and traditional dishes. Learn about eating etiquette and fasting culture. Go on a cultural walk and storytelling session, with time for questions, reflections, and photos. Finish with a hotel drop-off.
