Addis Ababa: Omo Valley 6-Day Tour with Domestic Flights

Discover the Omo Valley on a 6-day tour from Addis Ababa. Visit the Mursi, Hamar, and Karo tribes, explore Mago National Park, and take a boat trip on Lake Chamo.
Day 1: Addis Ababa to Jinka

Arrive in Addis Ababa and take a domestic flight to Jinka. In the afternoon, visit the South Omo Ethnographic Museum and explore the Ari village. Enjoy breakfast and dinner, and stay overnight in a 4-star hotel or lodge.

Day 2: Jinka to Mago National Park to Turmi

Drive through Mago National Park to visit the Mursi people, known for their unique lip plates. Spot wildlife along the way. In the afternoon, continue to Turmi for an overnight stay. Enjoy breakfast and dinner, and stay overnight in a 4-star hotel or lodge.

Day 3: Turmi to Omorate to Turmi

Day 4: Turmi to Konso

Day 5: Konso to Arbaminch

In the morning, visit one of the walled villages of the Konso tribe, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the afternoon, take a boat trip on Lake Chamo, known as the “crocodile market,” where you can see crocodiles, hippos, and plenty of birds. Lake Chamo is part of the Netchsar National Park. Enjoy breakfast and stay overnight in a 4-star hotel or lodge.

Day 6: Arba Minch to Addis Ababa

In the morning, visit the village of the Dorze people, famous for their intricately woven bamboo huts and weaving of traditional clothes. Fly back to Addis. In the afternoon, spend at leisure on your own until your international flight.
