Day 1: Arrival in Arba Minch via Great Rift Valley
After breakfast, fly from Addis Ababa to Arba Minch and enjoy a scenic drive through Ethiopia’s Great Rift Valley, passing lakes and rural landscapes. Stop at Lake Ziway to observe hippos and water birds before continuing the journey south. Arrive in Arba Minch in the afternoon and enjoy free time with sunset views over Lake Chamo.
Day 2: Lake Chamo Boat Safari & Dorze Village Experience
Start the day with a boat trip on Lake Chamo, famous for its “Crocodile Market,” where you can observe giant Nile crocodiles, hippos, and rich birdlife along the shores.
In the afternoon, visit a traditional Dorze highland village, known for its distinctive beehive-shaped bamboo huts and weaving traditions. Experience local cultural demonstrations, including music and dance, before returning to Arba Minch.
Day 3: Nechisar National Park & Return to Addis Ababa
Explore Nechisar National Park in the morning, where you may spot zebras, gazelles, and various bird species across open savannah plains. Enjoy panoramic views of the “Bridge of God,” where Lakes Abaya and Chamo meet.
After the visit, begin your return journey to Addis Ababa, marking the end of your 3-day Arba Minch experience.
