Begin your adventure with a drive to Suba Forest, one of Ethiopia’s oldest natural forests. Embark on a guided walk through this lush landscape, rich with endemic birds and wildlife. See indigenous trees like Juniper and Podocarpus, many over 400 years old. Keep an eye out for bird species such as the Abyssinian Catbird, Banded Barbet, Golden-Backed Woodpecker, Black-Headed Forest Oriole, and Wattled Ibis. You may also encounter endemic mammals such as Menelik’s Bushbuck.
In the afternoon, continue to Weliso and spend the evening at a beautiful lodge.
