Finally, the jewel of the castle will be revealed to you: the Apocalypse Tapestry, an exceptional commission by Louis I of Anjou, brother of King Charles V, in the 14th century.

Over 100 meters long, this tapestry, the largest known from the Middle Ages and the oldest preserved, immerses you in a spectacular vision of the Book of Revelation by Saint John. Mythical scenes, monsters, angels, battles: a fresco of striking images, rich in symbols, which speaks volumes about the fears, beliefs, and hopes of the Middle Ages.

Listed in UNESCO's Memory of the World Register since 2023, this unique work is as much a history lesson as it is a masterpiece of textile art.
