Tbilisi: 3-Day Tour of Georgia's Highlights

Discover the best of Georgia on a 3-day tour from Tbilisi. Visit the Caucasus Mountains, explore ancient fortresses, and learn how to make churchkhela, a traditional Georgian dessert.
Day 1: Tbilisi - Ananuri - Gudauri - Kazbegi - Tbilisi (09:00-21:00)

Depart from Tbilisi and head to the Zhinvali Reservoir, one of the most photogenic places in Georgia. Continue to the Ananuri Fortress, a medieval castle overlooking a mountain lake.

Next, visit the Gudauri ski resort and enjoy panoramic views from the observation decks. Head to the village of Stepantsminda (Kazbegi) and visit the Gergeti Trinity Church on the mountain. Return to Tbilisi.

Day 2: Tbilisi - Vardzia - Rabati - Borjomi - Tbilisi (07:00-22:00)

Depart from Tbilisi and travel to the southern regions of Georgia. Visit the Tmogvi Canyon, the Tmogvi Fortress, the Rabati Fortress, the Vardzia Cave Monastery, and the Borjomi resort. Discover ancient architecture, healing springs, and unique natural landscapes.

Explore the Vardzia Cave Monastery, a 12th-13th century complex in southern Georgia. Visit the Rabati Fortress, a medieval fortress built in the 9th century. Continue to Borjomi, a resort town in Samtskhe-Javakheti, famous for its mineral water. Return to Tbilisi.

Day 3: Tbilisi - Manavi - Bodbe - Sighnaghi - Tbilisi (09:00-20:00)

Depart from Tbilisi and travel to the village of Manavi. Take part in a churchkhela-making master class and learn how to make one of Georgia's most famous desserts from grape juice and nuts.

Visit the Bodbe Monastery, one of the main Orthodox centers in Georgia, associated with the life of Saint Nino. Continue to Sighnaghi and take a walk through the old town, the fortress wall, and the observation decks with views of the Alazani Valley. Enjoy some free time before returning to Tbilisi.
