Located in the heart of the historic old town and accessible only on a guided tour, the Mining Museum is a highly detailed replica of a salt mine. From the moment you enter, you will be immersed in the fascinating world of salt mining and feel the unique atmosphere of the underground.

Your guide will lead you through narrow tunnels and authentically recreated shafts, sharing the stories of the miners who extracted salt here for over 700 years. You will learn how salt brought prosperity to Hall, what daily life was like for the workers, and what tools and techniques were used at that time. The guided tour starts at Fürstengasse 2 and lasts approximately one hour. After this exciting journey of discovery through the underground museum, the tour returns to the starting point. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to continue exploring the charming old town of Hall and let the experience sink in.
