Embark on a captivating boat tour. Your first stop takes you to the enchanting volcano, where you will have the opportunity to delve into its intriguing landscape for 1 hour and 30 minutes. If you choose to visit the volcano, a nominal entrance fee of €5 will be required. Please note that the hike entails a moderate amount of walking.

After the awe-inspiring visit to the volcano, the boat will set course towards the invigorating hot springs of Palea Kameni island. Prepare for a delightful 30-minute swimming experience as you immerse yourself in the thermal waters. The boat will anchor at an estimated distance of approximately 30-40 meters, and you’ll have the opportunity to swim to the shore and revel in the rejuvenating hot springs. It’s important to note that swimming to the shore requires strong swimming skills, as it involves a relatively long distance.

Continuing your excursion, you will have the chance to explore and enjoy Thirasia island. The boat will anchor at Thirasia’s port, where you will have 2 hours of free time to either indulge in a delicious lunch at a restaurant or tavern of your choice or explore the charming traditional port of Thirasia. This picturesque island offers a serene and authentic experience, allowing you to immerse yourself in its unique culture and breathtaking landscapes.

After the enjoyable break at Thirasia island, the boat will commence its journey back to the port that your tour started. Throughout the entire excursion, your knowledgeable guides will be available to provide information, answer your questions, and ensure a memorable experience for everyone.

You have two options to reach the old port from Fira town. You can either take the cable car or walk down the steps. Cable Car: The cable car departs every 15 minutes from Fira. You can catch the cable car near the town center and enjoy a scenic ride down to the old port. The Santo Star office is located close to the cable car exit at the port, so you won’t have any trouble finding it. Walking: If you prefer some exercise and adventure, you can choose to walk down the steps. It takes approximately 30 minutes to descend the 600 steps that lead to the old port. The path offers breathtaking views of the Caldera, but make sure to wear comfortable shoes and take your time. Once you reach the old port, ensure that you have enough time to find the Santo Star office. The office is located near the cable car exit. Look out for signs or ask locals for directions if needed. It’s crucial to be at the port early to avoid any delays.
