From Bali : Wonderfull 3-Days with Tumpak Sewu, Bromo & Ijen

Join a 3D2N backpacker trip from Bali to Mount Bromo, Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, and Ijen Crater. Enjoy a fun trip, meet new friends, and see amazing views together.
Here is an overview of your 3-day journey from Bali to East Java, exploring Mount Bromo, Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, and Mount Ijen.

Day 1: Travel to Bromo Area
Your trip begins with pickup from your hotel or meeting point in Bali between approximately 06:00–08:30. Travel by car to Gilimanuk Harbor, followed by a ferry crossing to Java.

After arriving at Ketapang Harbor, continue your journey to the Bromo area with a stop for lunch along the way. Arrive at your accommodation in the evening around 18:00–19:00, check in, enjoy dinner, and rest before the early start the next day.

Day 2: Mount Bromo Sunrise & Tumpak Sewu
Start early around 02:00–02:30 for the Mount Bromo sunrise experience. Travel by jeep to the viewpoint and enjoy sunrise between approximately 04:00–05:30 as the volcanic landscape appears above the clouds.

After sunrise, continue across the sea of sand and hike to the crater of Mount Bromo. The trek takes around 30–45 minutes and offers a close-up view of the active volcano.

Return to your accommodation for breakfast and preparation before continuing your journey to Tumpak Sewu Waterfall. Arrive around midday and explore the waterfall area, including viewpoints and optional trekking with a local guide.

In the afternoon, travel to your accommodation in the Ijen area, arriving in the evening. Enjoy dinner and rest before the next early departure.

Day 3: Mount Ijen & Return to Bali
Wake up around midnight (00:00–00:30) and depart for Mount Ijen. After a short break and preparation, begin trekking at approximately 02:30 with a local guide.

Hike toward the crater to witness the famous blue fire (depending on conditions), followed by sunrise views over the crater lake around 05:30–06:30.

After the trek, return to the base area and have breakfast before continuing your journey back to Bali. Travel to the harbor, cross by ferry, and continue by car to your hotel, arriving between approximately 18:00–21:00 depending on your location.

Drop-off is available in Bali areas such as Kuta, Canggu, Seminyak, Ubud, and Lovina. Please note there is a 1-hour time difference between Java and Bali.
