Day 1 | Tokyo → Karuizawa → Nagano Highlands

Depart from Tokyo and travel into the scenic mountain landscapes of Central Japan. Enjoy free time in Karuizawa to explore its charming streets, cafés, shopping areas, and relaxing highland atmosphere before continuing to Nagano for an overnight stay.

Day 2 | Zenko-ji Temple & Togakushi Highlands

Discover the spiritual heart of Nagano with a visit to the historic Zenko-ji Temple. Continue to the beautiful Togakushi Highlands, where ancient cedar forests, sacred shrines, and peaceful mountain scenery create an unforgettable experience.

This tour involves a moderate amount of walking, including historic streets, forest trails, and temple grounds. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Weather conditions can vary between Tokyo and the Nagano Highlands, so please bring layered clothing, a light jacket or windbreaker, and rain protection.
Hotel accommodation is based on twin or double-share occupancy unless a single room has been requested. Daily breakfast is included, while lunches and dinners are at your own leisure.
This is not a fully guided tour. Following the MOVE JAPAN travel concept, guests enjoy comfortable shared transportation with free time to explore each destination independently.
Please arrive at the meeting point at least 10 minutes before departure. Travel insurance is strongly recommended, and your passport must be valid for the duration of your stay in Japan.
Look for the main entrance of Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, located next to the West Exit of JR Ikebukuro Station. Your MOVE JAPAN tour coordinator will be waiting at the meeting point with a MOVE JAPAN signboard and can be identified by MOVE JAPAN branded materials. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
