Descripción

Discover an authentic, off-the-beaten-track Tokyo: unique temples, a stunning traditional ceremony, and a neighborhood steeped in the spirit of old Edo. A profound, spiritual, truly unforgettable spiritual experience
At the specified time, we will pick you up on foot from your hotel in Tokyo to begin this private tour, which will be conducted on foot and by public transport.
We will head to the Fukagawa district, an area associated with the city's traditional life and rarely visited by mass tourism. Our first stop will be the Fukagawa Fudō-dō Temple, one of the most unique Buddhist temples and one of the least known to foreign visitors. Dedicated to Fudō Myōō, one of the most important protective deities in Esoteric Buddhism, the temple is notable for its modern architecture and its deeply spiritual atmosphere.
During our visit, we will attend the traditional fire ceremony (Goma), an ancient ritual that is rarely seen on tourist itineraries. The enveloping sound of the drums, the chants of the monks, and the purifying flames create a powerful and unforgettable experience. We will also have the opportunity to participate in the ritual, during which small personal items will be purified and we will receive a protective blessing, making this moment an authentic experience of local spirituality and a unique memory of our trip.
Next, we will visit Hachiman Shrine, a tranquil Shinto site that offers an interesting contrast to the Buddhist temple we visited earlier. Here, we will learn about Shinto rituals, amulets, and symbolic elements, as well as the religion's close relationship with nature and spiritual protection.
After visiting the shrine, we will take the metro to the next part of the tour.
Our last stop will be Hongwan-ji, located very close to Tsukiji Market. This temple is striking for its architectural eclecticism, combining elements of traditional Japanese Buddhism with modern and Western influences. Its spacious interiors, simple lines, and serene atmosphere make it a very different place from Tokyo's classic temples.
The guided tour will end at Hongwan-ji, from where you can stay for lunch on your own in Tsukiji and continue exploring the area, or you can easily make your way to Ginza, one of the city's most elegant and modern neighborhoods, located a short distance away.
