The tour is suitable for all ages and especially the people interested with history and culture of the Kenyan coast. For the lovers of woods and wood carvers Akamba Village is the place to visit.
Pick up at 08:00 , drive to Mombasa city and visit the Akamba Village where the wood carvers bring dead wood to life by carving all sorts of souvenirs. The Akamba Handicraft work place & factory is a highlight of our trip to Mombasa Kenya. To watch the skilled craftsmen with basic tools who carve the beautiful animals, bowls, masks, furniture & much more.
Then drive to the city center and visit the Moi avenue and its elephant tusks which serves as an emblem of Mombasa. You will have an opportunity to visit the Hindu Temple and then proceed to the Old Town and the Old Street of Mombasa where the rich history will be told by the guide. You will also have an opportunity to take photos of the Fort Jesus which after 400 days still stands strong. You will finally then visit the baobab forest before embarking bark to your hotel.
