Set off on a full-day journey along Madeira’s spectacular west coast, where misty forests, dramatic cliffs, and seaside villages come together in one unforgettable route.

Start the experience in Funchal and travel toward the legendary Fanal Forest. Spend around 1 hour exploring this atmospheric place of ancient trees and rolling fog—one of Madeira’s most iconic natural settings.

Continue along the north coast with scenic stops around Ribeira da Janela, where mountain silhouettes meet the Atlantic. Pause at viewpoints to take photos and admire the island’s rugged coastline.

Arrive in Porto Moniz for about 2 hours of free time. Explore the town at your own pace, enjoy the sea views, and take a lunch break. If you wish, you can also visit the famous natural pools (entry not included).

Next, head to Seixal, known for its black sand and striking green cliffs above the ocean. Take time for photos and soak in the scenery before continuing your coastal drive.

Finish with a stop at Cabo Girão, one of Madeira’s most famous viewpoints, offering sweeping panoramas over the coastline and the Atlantic. On the return to Funchal, pass through Câmara de Lobos, a traditional fishing village with a colourful harbour and authentic local atmosphere.
